Dr. Harcup emphasized that combining AI insights with microbiome data is paving the way for highly tailored skincare products, supported by Unilever’s collection of 30,000 microbiome samples and 100 related patents.

In her new role, Goldstein will identify American beauty brands and services for potential acquisition or investment across all four L’Oréal divisions: mass market, luxury, dermatological, and professional beauty. With a career at L’Oréal USA since 2001, Goldstein has held leadership positions across L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline, and Garnier. Notably, she led Maybelline to reclaim its position as the number one makeup brand in the U.S. and spearheaded significant product launches for Garnier. Goldstein succeeds Carol Hamilton, who is retiring after a 40-year tenure with the company.
